so we finally got together tonight for a "sewing night". normally we are at our separate houses, talking on the phone, and emailing each other pictures of our newest creations. i have to say it was not as productive as I had hoped it would be... between clayton wanting us to watch his dirt bike video with him, trying to explain to my mother over the phone how to check out our blog, feeling sorry for my poor cat with the cone on his head, playing tooth fairy for the first time (i hope $1 isn't too cheap... hey I used to get a quarter), and talking until we are blue in the face, it was not very productive. i take that back, I was not very productive. tina made a TON of adorable tutus, and I made 1 stinking shamrock bag (that usually only takes me 45 minutes) and fixed another. :( I guess we are better off talking on the phone and sewing... MUCH more productive!

I am the proud mother of Caren-she has taught me how to blog, but I unfortunately did not teach her to sew. Thanks to my gross nurse stories at the dinner table, she chose to be a teacher, and was inspired by another teacher at work, Hollyhocks, who taught my gigglepig to sew. My mom was a great sewer in her day, but she did not teach me to sew either, I also learned from a teacher in night school. So here's thanks to teachers and congrats on your new venture- I love it.
